In honor of the 2025 Civic Season, the Tennessee Democracy Network and members of the United By Change Coalition invite you to join us in cleaning up one of Chattanooga’s oldest African American cemeteries.
Missionary Ridge Baptist Church was founded by free Black Chattanoogans in 1874, during the postwar Reconstruction period. Join us in honoring the historic legacy of those buried on the grounds as we clean headstones, decorate graves, and have insightful conversations about the history of Chattanooga.
