Monticello

Add to my List

Every year, Monticello’s West Portico becomes an outdoor courtroom where dozens of individuals take the Oath of Citizenship to become Americans. This ceremony is marked by music from the Charlottesville Municipal Band and the Old Line Fife and Drum Corps. After the ceremony, visitors enjoy root beer floats and children’s activities on the West Lawn.
