Join the Carpenters’ Company and CraftNOW for a special Saturday morning crafting program on June 25th. Local artist and lecturer at the Weitzman School of Design and Lincoln University Heather Raquel Phillips will facilitate a hands-on workshop in subverting tropes of advertisement/sports culture into agents of social change. Participants will design and make an individualized pennant that expresses a topic or opinion that is important to them and represents their beliefs and values. It’s a fun and engaging way to celebrate the freedom of expression that’s such an important part of our democracy.

This event will be held just a few blocks away from Carpenters’ Hall at our neighbors’ Art in the Age. Light refreshments will be served, and each ticket purchase includes two drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are included).
