DESCRIPTION:Visit Black in Alaska\, a multimedia project with interviews\, photos and short videos profiling 50 Black Alaskans\, now on view in the first-floor atrium. Participants are from all over the state and represent diverse backgrounds in age\, gender and socioeconomic status. Through storytelling\, this project aims to dismantle stereotypes and create a deeper connection between communities. \nJoin us as we recognize Juneteenth (June 19)\, the day commemorating of the ending of slavery in the United States.
