SUMMARY:Juneteenth and Black Music Month
DESCRIPTION:June is an important month in Black history: It’s when we celebrate both Juneteenth (June 19) and Black Music Month! Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Learn about a local connection to Clara Brown\, a pioneer and formerly enslaved person\, through a musical presented by Mama Lisa and Fundisha Enterprises. Take a hip-hop workshop with the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis\, enjoy a drum circle with an African djembe\, and much more. \nThis program is presented in collaboration with Fundisha Enterprises.
