SUMMARY:Director's Tour: Voting Rights 1920-2021
DESCRIPTION:2020 marked the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment which enfranchised half of the population by granting women the right to vote. Learn about Margaret Brown’s own role in the suffrage movement and how much of the work to get women to the polls only just began in 1920\, and together we’ll draw the topic forward to contemporary issues of voting rights. Time is in MDT.

SUMMARY:QueerSpace - an AirSpace limited series
DESCRIPTION:Attention passengers\, we’re welcoming all boarding groups for QueerSpace — a limited series from the creators of AirSpace featuring stories and people at the intersection of aviation\, space\, and LGBTQ+ history and culture. The AirSpace podcast explores how flight impacts our lives — from newsworthy discoveries that expand our understanding of the universe to the history of that airline safety video you watch every time you fly. For QueerSpace\, we’re highlighting how queer culture has shaped what aerospace is and can be — from the building of a supportive and welcoming community of flight attendants in the 1970s to the imagined worlds of sci-fi challenging our binary perceptions. Any of these stories would be at home in a regular AirSpace season\, but we’re putting them together in a limited series to highlight the scope and diversity of queer experiences found across human flight and space science.

SUMMARY:Civic Imagination Workshops
DESCRIPTION:To realize the full potential of our communities\, build on our past\, and chart paths forward\, we need to be able to imagine what better worlds look like… even now\, especially now. Responding to this imperative\, the Civic Imagination Project activates memory and people’s visions for what a better tomorrow might look like as a necessary step to connecting with others and taking action to achieve real-world goals. Over the last 7 years\, our project team has built tools with people from all over the world\, helping them build action plans to realize imagined solutions. Our workshops enable individuals and communities as they think creatively\, connect with others in new ways\, and tackle challenging issues with imagination.
