DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the Constitutional Literacy Institute (CLI) is to provide education\, resources\, and experiences for teachers to increase personal constitutional literacy and thereby help their students to do the same. \nThe rising generation of citizens and leaders need a broad understanding of political thought and practices critical to the perpetuation of constitutional government\, ordered liberty\, and the rule of law. CLI is a tool for teachers to do just that. \nInstruction is provided by esteemed constitutional scholars from the Center for Constitutional Studies at UVU\, Oxford University\, and elsewhere. \nParticipants will examine the U.S. Constitution through the lenses of history\, law\, economics\, and public policy. Teacher attendees will increase their personal understanding of foundational principles and dispositions of America’s founding and its roots.

Sugar Bear\, plus the iconic Chuck Brown Band—with Chuck’s Brown’s son Wiley Brown leading the band in tribute to the Godfather of Go-Go. As the grand finale\, we’re thrilled to welcome back Art of Noise\, featuring DJ Lonnie B.\, plus an epic firework show to light up the night. DESCRIPTION:Did you know that San Antonio had over 80 Negro Motorist Green Book sites? \nEmbark on a 2.5-hour journey through San Antonio’s historic East Side neighborhoods with us as we uncover the stories of African American entrepreneurship\, resilience\, community\, and travel. Our trip will begin at the Brackenridge Parking Garage at 3501 Avenue B. There is no cost for parking. Please arrive at 3501 Avenue B\, 30-45 minutes prior to the bus’s departure. We will travel through history-making stops to the downtown theater district\, Dignowity Hills neighborhood\, Denver Heights neighborhood\, St. Paul Square\, and SAAACAM’s exhibit space. We invite you to be inspired by the legacies of Black brilliance in San Antonio. Without prior approval\, no professional video or photography is allowed on the bus tour. The SAAACAM Negro Motorist Green Book Civil Rights Tour is suitable for those able to remain seated for more than 2 hours.

These three stellar bands exemplify the power of music as a liberational force. In addition\, the day will feature poet Enid Pickett\, KCSM’s Greg Bridges\, hands-on art workshops with Andi Wong\, dance and percussion workshops with Susana Arenas\, interesting vendors\, and much more. \nJuneteenth is the African American celebration of liberation two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Soon after the end of the Civil War\, Black communities throughout the nation celebrated independence every June 19 with gatherings\, delicious food\, and of course good music. \nHealdsburg Jazz is proud to present a diverse range of music\, art\, culture and education in honor of this holiday\, free to the public in the Healdsburg Plaza. How can parents\, families\, friends\, and communities show meaningful solidarity by supporting queer people and their artistic expressions? \nModerated by Music Therapist Akash Bhatia\, this panel brings together artists\, community organizers\, family members\, and allies to explore the transformative power of art in South Asian queer communities. Together\, they will reflect on how creative expression fosters healing\, connection\, and resistance—and how collective support can strengthen queer liberation and joy.
