DESCRIPTION:The Paper City Mentoring Project is offering a free summer series for all Ross County teens filled with engaging field trips\, hands-on activities\, and real-world learning about how our community works and how teens can get involved! \nFrom behind-the-scenes tours of local government to trail cleanups\, historical site visits\, and conversations with local change makers\, this is your chance to explore civic engagement in action. \nFree lunch is included each day thanks to our partnership with the Chillicothe City School Food Services Department. \nOpen to ALL teens in Ross County\, you do not have to be in our mentoring program to join. Just bring your curiosity and energy!\nSpecial thanks to our generous funders at Foundation for Appalachian Ohio and the Civics Education Fund for making this summer possible. \nAnd shoutout to the amazing community partners joining us along the way: Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library\, Danbarry Cinemas Chillicothe\, Ross County Park District\, The Pump House Center for the Arts\, Hopewell Culture National Historical Park\, Project Bad Apple\, Clean The Streams Southern Ohio\, Adena Mansion & Gardens\, Ross County NAACP\, Ross County Historical Society\, and the City of Chillicothe\, Ohio! \nCheck out the full schedule attached!
