SUMMARY:Gardens After Hours: Community Place\, History Based\, and Rejuvenation Station
DESCRIPTION:Civic Season is celebrating the power of community building\, with sites serving as vibrant third spaces—places where connections are formed\, history is shared\, and ideas turn into action. \nTudor Place will offer spaces for participants to share their thoughts on the past and present to build networks for the future. Through talk back boards\, an art craft\, a mocktail\, live music (6pm -7pm) a look at collection objects from the 1920s and more\, we hope that this Tudor Tuesday event brings people together to create a stronger community. \nVisitors are welcome to bring a picnic (blankets and camp chairs permitted\, no red wine or red/purple juices allowed). Be sure to remove all trash. Trash receptacles are not provided. Due to the historic landscape\, games\, chairs with legs\, blow up furniture are not permitted. \nSuggested donation of $5 for those 18+ (but not required)

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free afternoon of creativity\, community\, and pizza! A Slice of History: Pizza & Prints is a hands-on program where participants will learn about craftivism—the use of crafting as a tool for activism—and explore how people throughout history have used handmade art to spark change. \nEnjoy free pizza (generously provided by Pizza to the Polls) while screen printing your own designs inspired by local history and civic identity. You’ll be able to put your prints on a tote bag or pencil case to take home! \nThis event is part of Civic Season\, a nationwide initiative led by Made By Us that connects history to civic action between Juneteenth and the Fourth of July. \nFree and open to ages 16–30. Space is limited. RSVP Today!
