DESCRIPTION:We are participating in the Civic Season ideal by offering a free 4-day workshop to educators in the Greater Cincinnati area.  Participants will experience some of our current field trip offerings first-hand\, showcasing different grade levels\, engage in discussion with museum educators on teaching “hard history” topics\, and collaborate with K-12 colleagues. \nDays 1\, 2\, and 4 will take place at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.  Day 3 will take place in Ripley\, OH (about a 1-hour drive from Walnut Hills – carpooling may be available).  Workshop sessions are free to participants and open to K-12 educators\, as well as pre-service teachers.  Books and materials are included.  Funding is made possible through the Ohio Humanities Council.  We are currently seeking funding for lunches as well. \nSessions will run 9:30 – 3:30 each day – Monday June 20 – Thursday June 23.
