On this wander, participants will be introduced to and invited to utilize the “36 Questions for Civic Love” from the National Public Housing Museum. In collaboration with Civic Season programming, this wander encourages us all to strengthen our community relationships.
Newcomer Days are welcoming, low-pressure events designed to help new Athens residents connect with local history, community resources, and one another. Each event includes refreshments, a tour of the historic Church-Waddel-Brumby House, brief presentations from local government agencies, and a hands-on activity where participants design and create their own hand-stamped tote bag to take home.
